4th Prof Pradip Kumar Ray Memorial Lecture on 23 February 2024

On 23rd Feb '24 afternoon, we attended the Fourth Pradip Ray Memorial lecture organized by GAABESU & Civil Engineering Department of IIEST. The main speaker was Amitabhada (Ghosal) and the subject was on Bridges. The speaker ensured that the topic didn't become too much technical, so that few non-Civilians like us didn't feel like outsiders. The lecture was very well attended and few students were even had to stand. Quite a few Classmates (1965 batch) of Dr. Ray attended the program. Seniors from GAABESU, like Dr. Arun Deb, Syama P. Datta, Amitabha Datta, Malay Niyogi, Santanu Karmakar, etc also attended. One classmate of Dr. Ray, Mr.Pradipta Mukherjee spoke about Dr.Ray in his College days. The whole program was very well planned & organized. At the end, I gave the Vote of Thanks, after explaining my connection with the Ray family outside the Civil Department.
