Invitation to GAABESU Alumni Day Event on 27th December, 2020

As many of us are aware, on the last Sunday of every year, GAABESU, the Global Alumni Association of IIEST Shibpur (erstwhile BESU/B E College) organizes Alumni Day, with the aim of bringing together everyone related to our beloved alma mater, to the campus that has given us so many memories to cherish. Over a day-long, fun filled, family event, alumni spread across several decades and multiple generations, renew their bond with the campus as well as with familiar faces that brings them back to their days of youth.

Unfortunately, considering the unprecedented times we are facing, and with the pandemic showing no signs of going away, GAABESU has collectively decided to make this year’s Alumni Day event a ‘Virtual’ one, in order to maintain this annual tradition without risking public health and safety in any way.

GAABESU has the pleasure and privilege of inviting all alumni to join the Virtual Alumni Day 2020, on Sunday, the 27th of December at 7:30 PM IST.

Programme Schedule of Virtual Alumni Day 2020

DATE: 27th December 2020

TIME: 19:30 hrs IST

1. Inaugural Session - 19:30 hrs to 20:00 hrs IST

2. Business Meet - 20:00 hrs to 21:00 hrs IST

3. Open Session – Chit Chat - 21:00 hrs to 21:30 hrs IST

4. Cultural Program by Alumni - 21:30 hrs  to 23:00 hrs IST

This event is open to all alumni upon confirmation, and there is no registration fee. 
However, any act of generosity in terms of donations will be much appreciated and will help ensure the success of this event, as well as support GAABESU in continuing with its endeavour of organizing similar events. 
Below is a step by step guide to donate using GAABESU SBI Collect. 

 

GAABESU SBI Collect : Step by step process

1. Go to www.onlinesbi.com

2. Click on the tab 'SB Collect'

3. Accept terms and conditions and then click 'Proceed'

4. Select State of Corporate/Institution- 'West Bengal' from the drop-down list

5. Select Type of Corporate/Institution- 'Others' from the drop-down list

6. Select 'GAABESU' from the drop-down list. A page with the GAABESU name and logo will appear.

7. Select category- "Membership or Donation"

8. Enter all personal information in the Form that would pop up. Then select the Purpose of Payment. You need to   choose "Alumni Day" from the list.

9. Enter the amount to be paid and then proceed.

10. Review the information.

11. Select the preferred payment options- direct bank debit/debit card/credit card/cash payment at SBI branch etc.

12. Make payments. Thank You.
