Professor Indranil Manna - Congratulations!!

The global alumni community of our Alma Mater feels immensely proud and delighted on your election as the President of Indian National Academy of Engineering (INAE).

Your talent and hard work have been recognized both nationally and internationally, and has been consistently acknowledged by the academic community throughout your career.  Honors such as Premchand-Roychand Scholarship from the University of Calcutta, J. C. Bose Fellowship of the Department of Science and Technology, holding the offices of the Director of IIT-Kanpur and CSIR-CGCRI and the President of the Indian Institute of Metals, to name a few, are the results of your academic excellence and leadership.

Your research and leadership earned the Fellowships of all the National Academy of Sciences (INSA, IASc, NASI) and Engineering (INAE) in India, and you have decorated the Distinguished Alumnus recipients’ list of IIEST, Shibpur (our Alma Mater) and IIT, Kharagpur.  You have also made us immensely proud during your role as the National Coordinator of IMPacting Research INnovation and Technology or IMPRINT.

This time you stand out as the first alumnus of our Institute to assume the mantle of INAE as its 14th President, a chair once glorified by Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam and other luminaries.

Your career has always been a story for us to tell and inspire our community towards academic excellence.

We look forward to your continued success in leading the engineering fraternity of our country!
