Application Process for MITACS Program 2024 Is Open Now!

The application process for MITACS Program 2024 (benefits: about $ 2700 per month of stipend for about 12 weeks of internship assignment in Canadian universities) is open now and will close on September 21, 2023.

Below is a cover letter from our esteemed alumnus, Rupak Bhattacharyya - 1979 CE, an instrumental figure in this initiative:

 

Dear current students of IIEST,
probably you already know about the MITACS Program and are planning to submit applications. As you might know, the application process has already opened and students must submit applications by September 21, 2023, 1 PM PT, which is same as 1:30 AM IST on Sep 21 (https://www.mitacs.ca/en/programs/globalink/globalink-research-internship)
 

A new volunteer group has been created which has members from IIEST, and from Canada. The volunteers will help applicants with application process, network, and various other supports that can be extended as reasonably as possible. Following are contact details of the volunteer group. You are encouraged to contact any of them if you need details about the application process.

Please note that there are another few volunteers in Canada, who will provide support to the applicants for reviewing the resumes, cover letters, application letters, networking, and providing various useful information and more. Rupak will be the focal point in Canada and will connect those volunteers to the students as and when needed. Anuvab has been identified as team lead for this volunteer team in IIEST.
