The EE Department bids Adieu to the Beloved Departed Souls who left in the recent Times…….
• The Department of Electrical Engineering mourns the demise of their much loved and respected teachers:
• Prof. Jayanta Kumar Sen, who served the Department from the early 1970s to 1996;
• Prof. Srikumar Mallick, (an Alumnus of Electrical Engineering. Department 1972) and served the Department from1982 to 2010;
• Prof. Sabyasachi Sengupta, (an Alumnus of Electrical Engineering, graduating year 1973) and Registrar IIEST Shibpur from 2008 to 2012, Honorary Professor till 2021
• Prof. Ashok Kumar Maitra who retired in 2012, after completing 21 years of Service to the Department.
• The members of the Department; faculty and staff will be holding an on-lIne Condolence Meeting, the link of which is being shared. The Institute faculty, officers and staff are requested to attend the Meet on the 6th of August at 11 am.
The Alumni of the Electrical Engineering Department are cordially invited.
