Participation in the endevour of enhancing NIRF/Global ranking of IIEST, Shibpur

Dear all ,

I, On behalf of GAABESU (Global Alumni Association of BESU / IIEST) would like to draw your kind attention to the continual decline of IIEST in its National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) – from 19th in 2019 to 21st in 2020 to 27th in 2021.

An insight in the NIRF score of IIEST, Shibpur, vis-à-vis the score of the top ten Institutes in the country, clearly confirms at least two major deficiencies:  i) Not mobilizing the resources available to promote/achieve the academic and professional outcome; and ii) Indifference towards network building, leading to a disgraceful score in peer perception.   

It is undeniable that a concerted effort of administration, faculty, students and alums only can help IIEST, Shibpur to find its desired position, not only in the NIRF ranking, but also in the global map of engineering education and research.

To reaffirm GAABESU's commitment and support in the awaited endeavour towards elevating the Institute within the top ten in our country, we request our alumni to express their interest in supporting IIEST in the mentioned areas - Student, Faculty, Department and  Institute by responding through the form given in the link below:
