Featured Alumnus: Dr. Subrata Saha

Dr. Subrata Saha, Ph.D., received his BE in Civil Engineering from B. E. College in 1963.
He was recently elected a Fellow of Sigma Xi, The Scientific Honor Society with a legacy of 135 years, and with more than 30,000 members. He was elected one of the 20 Fellows in the inaugural class of Fellows.  Dr. Saha also served as a member of the Nominating Committee of Sigma Xi, and he is presently a member of the Program Committee for the Annual Meeting of Sigma Xi. Last year, Dr. Saha was elected the President of the Sigma Xi Chapter of the University of Washington.

Dr. Saha is the Conference Chair of the 10th International Conference on Ethics in Biology, Engineering and Medicine (ICEBEM) which will be held in Seattle, November 13th & 14th 2021. He is the founder of this bi-annual conference series and has organized all previous nine (ICEBEM) conferences.
